Certified Close Protection Officer

The Certified Close Protection Officer (CCPO) provides demonstrable proof of knowledge and experience in threat assessment and risk analysis; integrated physical security systems; and the appropriate identification, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of security measures.

Earning a CCPO demonstrates your expertise in conducting physical security surveys to identify vulnerabilities and performing cost analysis for the selection of integrated physical security measures. In addition, it confirms your specialized knowledge in close protection work in the safeguarding of persons and property.

 

Who should get this certification: Security Officers who do close protection work.

Admission requirements: The candidate must demonstrate significant knowledge and experience in having conducted close protection security. The Board may prescribe attendance at a compulsory course as part of the admission requirements.

CPD Requirements: 10 points (6 for renewal). The Board may prescribe attendance at a compulsory course as part of the renewal requirements.
